Karen Wagner is a Teach Plus Colorado Teaching Policy Fellow. She teaches 3rd grade at Polaris at Ebert Elementary School, where she leads the 3rd grade team. As a teacher leader, Karen helped guide Polaris’ teachers through the transition to the Common Core State Standards. She served on Denver Public School’s Teacher Council and provided feedback to the state’s superintendent on teacher career pathways. Working with the Center for Teaching Quality’s Global Cities Network, Karen collaborated with seven teachers from around the world on a report comparing professional learning systems in different countries. Karen is a TeachStrong Teacher Ambassador. She earned her teaching license through the Stanley British Primary School Teacher Preparation Program, holds a BA in Psychology, a BS in Marketing, and an MA in Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado.
