Katy Josway is a 2020-21 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow. She is a 7th grade Social Studies teacher at Dickinson Fine Arts Academy in South Bend. She is a Union Representative for the NEA-SB and is an active member on her school’s Leadership committee. Prior to this role, Katy taught English in Guangzhou, China for three years and in South Bend at the beginning of her career. She has been recognized twice by her colleagues as Teacher of the Year in 2013 and 2019. Katy is a first-generation teacher who received her BS in Secondary Education from Indiana State University South Bend.
