Tiauna King is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and is a K-3 Learning Behavior Specialist at Elmwood Elementary School in Naperville. She is passionate about advocating for equitable, diverse, and inclusive learning environments for students and staff in her roles as the Equity/Diversity Committee Building Representative, and District Affinity Group Facilitator. Tiauna was previously an Early Childhood Educator and a Self-Contained Special Education Teacher. Tiauna was awarded a 2021 NEF Express Diversity Grant and 2022 NEF Annual Social Emotional Learning Grant in Naperville District 203. Tiauna earned her BA in Early Childhood Education from the University of Kentucky, MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and MEd in Advanced Special Education Practices from Northern Illinois University. She also completed endorsements in Learning Behavior Specialist, English as a Second Language and Director of Special Education at Northern Illinois University.
