Larissa R. Vander Kuur is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Fellow. Larissa is a licensed group in-home childcare provider and small business owner of Busy Bee Learning Center in Champaign, Illinois. She teaches children from age two to kindergarten and provides extended learning activities to children in a before and after school program. She is an active member in the Service Employees Illinois Union and a member of the National Association of Family Child Care providers and National Association for Education of Young Children. Larissa received a BA in Agricultural Education and English Education (Secondary) and an MA in Special Education and an LBSI certificate from Illinois State University.
