Lisa Hanifan

Lisa Hanifan is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Commonwealth Policy Fellow. A returning Fellow, Lisa teaches 1st grade at Linden STEAM Academy in Malden, MA, where she is a member of the school site council.  She mentors newly-hired teachers and supervises undergraduate education students from Lesley University.  Previously, Lisa taught integrated kindergarten and preschool at the Early Learning Center in Malden, where she served on the early childhood task force. Lisa has been awarded grants to implement flexible seating in her classroom and funds to support cultivating a culturally informed classroom.  Lisa participates in the RIDES Program at Harvard University and is a former panelist for the ELA K-2 Massachusetts CURATE Curriculum Fellowship.  She earned a BA and MS in Health and Human Services and Criminal Justice from Suffolk University and an MEd in Elementary Education from Cambridge College.
