Michael Mack is a 2024-2026 Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellow and high school math instructor at Albuquerque Charter Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has worked in New Mexico and Texas charter schools for over 23 years. Michael implemented a math for social justice curriculum in which students solve local and global societal problems. Michael won the Walt Disney Outstanding Teacher of the Year for New Mexico (2005-2006) and was Eagle Charter School Teacher of the Year (2001-2002). Michael is a member of the International Reading Association, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and National Council for Teachers of Mathematics. He has a BA in organizational management from Northland College, MA in organizational management from the University of Phoenix, MA in secondary education with endorsements in math and business education from the University of New Mexico (UNM), and is pursuing a doctorate in multicultural teacher and childhood education at UNM.
