Mackenzie Beisser is a Teach Plus Illinois Teaching Policy Fellow. Mackenzie teaches 6th-8th grade inclusion English Language Arts and history at CICS West Belden, where she is a member of the parent involvement committee. Mackenzie came to Chicago as a member of the 2013 Teach For America corps. As a corps member, she taught high school self-contained English and worked to lead professional development on co-teaching models. During her corps commitment she completed a Med in special education at National Louis University. She has a BA in early childhood special education from Saint Louis University and a Med in special education from National Louis University.
