Meaghan Bell is a 2019-20 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. Meaghan is an itinerant resource teacher serving students with disabilities in LAUSD. She started her career in education as a literacy tutor in San Francisco before joining Teach For America in Los Angeles. She previously taught math in the special day program and served as a math department co-chair at Burbank Middle School, which was named a School To Watch by the California League of Middle Schools. The CLMS also recognized Meaghan as an Educator of the Year in 2013. She works as a math workshop facilitator for the non-profit textbook company, College Preparatory Mathematics, supporting general and special education teachers. She earned her BA from the University of San Francisco and MA in Special Education from Loyola Marymount University.
