Melinda Merschel is a 2020-21 Texas DFW Policy Fellow. He teaches 7th grade English Language Arts at Richardson North Junior High, where she also sponsors the campus’s T.O.P.S. (Teen Offering Peers Support) group. Melinda is a member of the district’s Equity Committee and Culturally Responsive Teaching Sub-Committee. She served on the district’s Multi-Racial Advisory Committee and on the Strategic Planning Committee. Melinda graduated from The University of Kansas with a BS in Elementary and Middle School Education, and she received her MEd in Counseling Education from The University of North Texas.
