Mishawna Manning is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Illinois Change Agent Teacher Leader. Mishawna teaches 3rd-5th grade English language arts and social science at Kozminski Community Academy. Mishawna serves on the instructional leadership team and professional problems committee. She has served as Field Ambassador for the Scholastic Teacher Advisory since 2003. Mishawna is a past recipient of the Chicago Foundation for Education small grant and was awarded a scholarship to attend the Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute in Virginia. Mishawna graduated from Spelman College with a BA in Political Science and received her MA in Teaching from Columbia College.
