Nicholas Pegarsch is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Illinois Teaching Policy Fellow. Nicholas teaches high school social studies courses to predominantly English language learning students at Round Lake High School in Round Lake, IL, where he is also the sponsor of the RL Ambassadors and the team lead for the Democracy School Initiative. Nicholas is the community outreach project leader as part of the Opportunity Coalition. He received his BA in History/Secondary Education with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language and an MA in Community and Teacher Leaders from Northeastern Illinois University.
