Nicole Vick is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow. Nicole teaches a variety of high school science courses at Abingdon-Avon High School. She previously taught science in the Galesburg CUSD 205 and Peoria Public School Districts. She serves as the District XII Director for the National Science Teaching Association, acting as a liaison between NSTA and state organizations for Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Nicole is active in implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards and works on teams developing curriculum at the national level. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BS in Biological Sciences and received her PMA in environmental science education from Bradley University.
