Njoroge Kabugu is a 2020-21 Texas Policy Fellow. He teaches 7th grade math and is a Data Czar at YES Prep Northwest in Houston, Texas, in addition to coaching the middle school soccer team. He previously taught 6th grade math and 9th grade Algebra 1 in addition to being the 9th Grade Level Chair at the YES Prep Fifth Ward in Houston TX. Njoroge worked for the United Nations in Somalia, South Sudan, Kenya and Iraq in budgeting and finance in addition to working in various nonprofits in Massachusetts before moving to teach in Texas. He graduated from Catholic University of Eastern Africa with a BSC in Commerce and Finance. He received his MSC in Ethics and Public Policy from Suffolk University in Boston.
