Nora Ryan is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow. Nora serves as the primary grades instructional guide at Polaris Charter Academy in Chicago, where she supports teachers in implementing curriculum focused on the creation of high-quality work, development of exemplary character, and mastery of knowledge and skills. Prior to this role, Nora taught kindergarten, first, and second grades for nine years at Polaris, was a founding kindergarten teacher at the Academy for Global Citizenship, and taught preschool in South Chicago and Southern Illinois. She received a Fund for Teachers Fellowship and an Earthwatch fellowship. Nora earned her BS in Early Childhood Education and her MSed in Curriculum and Instruction from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
