Patrick Hammond

Patrick Hammond is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Colorado Teaching Policy Fellow. Patrick teaches 10th grade world history in an integrated environment with an English teacher at Legacy High School in Broomfield, Colorado. He facilitates the world history team and has served on the school’s Faculty Advisory Committee. Patrick serves as a union representative for teachers at Legacy High School. He has received stipends for the study of history through The National Endowment of the Humanities and The Gilder Lehrman Institute. Prior to teaching at Legacy High School, Patrick served students at Niver Creek Middle School for eleven years. He holds a BA in History from Sonoma State University and an MA in Teaching and Instruction from the University of Colorado at Denver.
