Roisleen Todd is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow. Roisleen teaches Pre-K at Pilsen Community Academy and has taught in half-day, full-day, bilingual Spanish, and inclusive classroom settings. She is a new teacher mentor and one of two Pre-K/primary team leaders for the CPS New Teacher Cohort. Roisleen has previously served as a coach and teacher educator at Teach For America’s summer training for early childhood educators. She serves as a multiple-classroom leader in her school, coaching all staff on trauma-responsive educational practices in order to build robust social-emotional skills in all students. Roisleen earned a BA in Comparative Human Development and Political Science from the University of Chicago and an MA in Early Childhood Education, with a bilingual endorsement, from Dominican University.
