Lauren Scott is a 2024-2026 Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellow and kindergarten teacher at Mountain Mahogany Community School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She began her teaching career in 2010 as part of early childhood autism specific programs. She believes that school is a place that can give children the power to create a more just and peaceful world through their learning of academic and social emotional skills. Lauren has a BA in European studies and creative writing from the University of New Mexico, and MA in special education teaching from Capella University.
