Shayna Steinberg is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow. Shayna is a 3-5 year old Head Start Pre-K master teacher at Mitzi Freidheim Children’s Home and Aid in Englewood, Chicago. She has previously taught creative movement at Crème de la Crème, where she served as a team leader. Shayna also taught at Torah Academy of Buffalo Grove, where she served as a preschool teacher and computers and art teacher for older students. In 2015, Shayna was nominated for a Bammy Award. She graduated from Kendall College with a BA in Early Childhood Education and is currently attending the University of Illinois at Chicago for her SPED and ESL endorsement and her Master’s in Early Childhood Education.
