Taja Butler is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Taja teaches 9th and 10th grade AVID STEM at C. E. King High School. She has served as an AVID Site Team member, the College and Career Readiness campus team member, an AFT Teacher Leader Fellow, and as a 2018-2019 Sheldon ISD Aspiring Leader Participant. She was the 2018 Pacer Test Most Caring Teacher and a recipient of the Teaching Tolerance Classroom Grant. Taja received her BS in Secondary Education from Mississippi State University and a MEd in Student Development and Leadership from Angelo State University.
