Tamra Simpson is a 2019-20 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. Tamra is a teacher on special assignment at De Anza Elementary in San Jacinto, California. She started her educational career in Val Verde Unified as an impact teacher and then served as a career readiness specialist for Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa-ROP. She transitioned to San Bernardino City Unified as a 2nd and 4th grade teacher. In San Bernardino City Unified, she served as an English language facilitator and an opportunity gap specialist. Tamra earned a BA in Liberal Studies from the University of California, Riverside and a Masters in English Language Learning, K-12, from Western Governors University.
