Hwa Tsu is a 2022-2023 Indianapolis Equity Change Agent and science teacher at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has served on various school-wide and district-wide committees dealing with implementation of initiatives such as IB, restorative practices, and school improvement. Hwa was a Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellow (2009), Outstanding First-Year Teacher (2010-2011), and a Lilly Teacher Creativity Grant Recipient (2014). Hwa is also an adjunct professor in Physics at Butler University and an AP reader for Biology. He earned a BS in General Engineering with minors in Bioengineering and Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a MA in Teaching from the University of Indianapolis.
