Vaughn Laptiste is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow. Vaugh teaches 9th and 10th grade Algebra 1 & 2 at Christel House Academy (South), where he also sponsors the chess club for 4th to 8th grade students. Vaughn’s journey into teaching began in 2005 in Trinidad & Tobago, where he was hired by his former 9th grade science teacher to teach secondary physics. Vaughn earned a BA from Anderson University in Mathematics with a minor in Physics.
