Yadeale Tamru is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Illinois Teaching Policy Fellow. Yadeale is a language arts teacher at Sir Miles Davis Academy, a school in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood. She previously taught at an elementary school in Dallas, where she served on the Site Based Decision Making committee and was a team lead, AVID site team member, and a Destination Imagination coach. Yadeale graduated from Southern University and A&M College with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Economics.
