Yuridiana Lewis is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus Texas DFW Policy Senior Fellow. Yuri is the Instructional Lead Teacher for the 8th grade reading language arts team at Francisco “Pancho” Medrano Junior High School. A distinguished ACE teacher, Yuri is the Teacher Excellence Initiative campus expert, has served as a grade-level chairperson, a classroom host teacher for Urban Teachers, sponsor of Destination Imagination, and head volleyball and soccer coach. Yuri serves on the Educator Advisory Board for The Educator Collective, on the advisory committee for Texas Education Agency for House Bill 3906, and has served on campus instructional leadership teams as department chair, as well as participated in leadership opportunities through the Teaching Trust Teams Program. Yuri holds a BA in Psychology from the University of North Texas and a MEd in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University.
