Dominique Mendoza

We’re excited to welcome Dominique back to Teach Plus to support teacher leaders in managing and implementing their change projects. She leads through a lens of equity, has a decade of experience in teacher leadership and instruction, and specializes in building capacity in others through individualized coaching. A founding member of the Teach Plus Texas Coaching Team, supporting our Harmony Public Schools partnership in 2017-2018, she left to complete a year-long trip across Europe and Asia with her husband. Upon her return, Dominique served as a Program Manager for The Denver Math Fellows, where she coached and developed a team across three school sites to implement equity driven instructional practices for all students. She began her career in education as a teacher in Memphis City Schools and transitioned into teacher leadership with Denver Public Schools.

Dominique holds a BA in Psychology from Belmont Abbey College, a M. Ed. from Christian Brothers University, and is certified in Cognitive Coaching. In her spare time, Dominique enjoys curling up in a blanket to read a good book, playing board games with friends, practicing calligraphy, and traveling abroad.
