Kai Pruitte joins Teach Plus as an Education Leadership Coach. Prior to joining Teach Plus, she served as an instructional coach for a local charter school network in Nashville, Tennessee focusing on middle school English/Language Arts. She has spearheaded many Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives, as well as helped implement network-wide Social Emotional Learning initiatives in schools to help support all students. Kai believes that education in all forms is the foundation to any path, and that educators, who teach skills like emotional maturity, empathy, team work, discipline, respect, a sense of community, and more, help to mold positive, caring, and productive citizens who impact the future of our society as a whole.
Kai holds a BS in Public Relations and Marketing from Middle Tennessee State University and she received her Masters of Education in Instructional Practice from Lipscomb University. She also has experience working as the Director of Education in local nonprofits and afterschool programs prior to entering schools. In her spare time, Kai likes to run her small beauty business, cook, read, travel, garden, and create content for herself and small businesses.
